In this example, tmp.a is a dummy file that is empty. You can download the BCMip.o file I used from ftp://ftp.cs.sandia.gov/pub/papers/wehart/src/BCMip.o ftp://ftp.cs.sandia.gov/pub/papers/wehart/src/BCMip.cpp I welcome any ideas about a work-around for this problem.
