I use ssh with dos windows (without starting bash first). When I have more than one ssh session (i.e. 2 dos boxes, each with one ssh session),. one of the ssh sessions 'freezes up' after a delay from 1 minute to about 30 minutes. To reproduce this problem, get 2 dos boxes, ssh somewhere in each one, and wait. Eventually (less than 30 minutes), one will not respond to input. If I have a sftp session running, a ssh session will freeze up, and usually within 2 or 3 minutes. I have observed this problem for at least 6 month, with successively newer versions of ssh and cygwin software. My current workaround is to only have one ssh or sftp running at a time. This works without any problems. I am always logging into a solaris system, running solaris 7. I am running windows 2000, sp 2. I have been using cygwin since before beta-17. thanks, jeff deifik, jet propulsion lab -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
