But files created in the cygwin environment have the group from the /etc/passwd file. Where are those groups stored? When I check permissions with cacls I don't see any owner and groups which are attached to the files (getfacl shows them). Even when I change permissions with cacls the file owner and group does not change. Can I see and modify owner and group with Windows tools? (I succeeded to change the owner under the Administrator account in a save envionment, but I didn't see something like a group there.)
