I realise that it might have been a bad move to criticise first, and I apologise. I have thought about using #ifdef's, but the problem there is that there would be essentially two versions to keep up with, with the possible result that would break compatibility sometimes. I know it's a problem, and like I said, I'm probably not the first or best to think about it, but I would be willing to do something. If anyone has already got something going, can they pipe up?
