I'm laughing because it seems pretty obvious! why are you loughing? this mixed-textmode whould only apply when an app opens a file in text-mode and not in binary-mode. this solves many problems. for example you can copy you text-files to a linux-system, or you can switch back to UNIX-lineendings. all without having to convert your textfiles back to UNIX-linendings because.
