It makes sense seeing as how this could use semaphores. By the dates, it looks like he's updated it recently. Max, you might want to correspond with Conrad Scott, who has been spearheading the Cygserver project lately. He is very will versed in interprocess communications and could probably refer you to some excellent material to get you up to speed.
