I have created the ftp home directory ~ftp with ~ftp/bin,etc,pub. All subdirs of ~ftp have are of mode 555 and the files in ~ftp/etc are 444 with binaries in ~ftp/bin 444 with ~ftp/pub readable and writable. The ftp and anonymous users (in /etc/passwd) are aliases of the daemon user (same uid/gid, acl. different home and login). Does the password of the daemon (in windows) have to be empty? imapd/ipop3d: This is now installed and working, but i can't authenticate. I used the recommended inet lines from a post i received and they are both listening and accepting connections to a point. Has anyone sucessfully got this working as a functional mail-server with logins?
