When I try to telnet to my cygwin server (CYGWIN_NT-5.0 GATEWAY 1.3.10(0.51/3/2) 2002-02-25 11:14 i686 unknown) I get the following in Event Viewer, can you advise? telnet: can't set uid 500: Not owner. I ran inetd using net start inetd and it shows as owned by SYSTEM. If I run inetd -d I get a little further as I'm allowed to enter a username and passwd although they are always rejected and I _know_ they are correct. Finally I've been trying to use imapd for cygwin but with similar results, i.e. if I run inetd -d it works but as a service it fails. If I run it as inetd -d then the Even Viewer Application Log fills up rapidly with Information style events about imap accesses. Can anyone help me please?
