The directory 'SF' does not exist anymore. It was originally used as a test install of SourceForge. Any help would be appreciated, I would like to use cygwin to interact with our CVS server (linux) and would like to have the environment variables set up in my startup script. > OK, I guess the "test install of SourceForge" set HOME to this directory. You need to figure out where that was done and eradicate it, since it seems to be left-over and causing the problem. As a few hints, depending on your OS, you should look for this in the settings underneath the control panel applet, your autoexec.bat, and/or any other batch files that get run on your system as part of the start-up.
