On linux, it is found in the util-linux package -- a random grab bag of lots of small and useful, or small and not-so-useful, or small but totally-cygwin-inappropriate programs. We have a package where lots of random, small, and (hopefully) useful programs can live -- cygutils. (In fact, I was planning -- before real life intervened -- to add col to cygutils eventually (given, of course, cygwin-list approval (*)) So, **if** the mailing list agrees, then I will accept dawillis's port of col. (*) As I earlier agreed, I won't add new programs to the cygutils package unless the list agrees that to do so would be a good idea. We don't want to recreate full.exe. --Chuck -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
