When I tucked a command 'echo here' into a script it just hung. I have tried both ':' and '#! /bin/bash' on the first line. I have put the full path,/bin/echo, in. Needless to say, to no avail. With 'bash -v' I got 'Couldn't duplicate my handle<0x2c> for 3564, Win32 error 6' I am running windows 2000 sp2 Insight needed, Jim -- James Raftery Structural Chemistry Department|E-Mail:jrtest AT spec DOT ch DOT man DOT ac DOT uk Manchester University | FAX:0161-275-4734 Manchester M13 9PL | Tel.:0161-275-4700 -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
