I find this strange, as AFAIK, ssh works with ttys, which should present the same limitations... The specific thing I am trying to do is use Visual studio jalindi igloo (a SCC API, partially open source) cvsnt's cvs (needed because igloo uses NT extensions) cygwin ssh (needed for SSH protocol 2) to access a :ext: repository from within visual studio. And no, I haven't joined the dark side :}.
