There is no "log on" for Cygwin, unless you're connecting through OpenSSH. Otherwise, the tools of Cygwin are as available to the user of the machine as any other installed program. The security model comes from whatever Windows provides. On NT/W2K/XP, there's something to work with if you so desire. On 9x/Me, well, you know the drill! ;-) Larry Hall lhall AT rfk DOT com RFK Partners, Inc. http://www.rfk.com 838 Washington Street (508) 893-9779 - RFK Office Holliston, MA 01746 (508) 893-9889 - FAX -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
