It is supposed to read CRLF text on standard input and produce only UNIX-style newline endings on standard output. This behavior is actually noted in another message in this mailing list. If sed isn't doing that, then you're either running a very old version of sed from the cygwin distribution, you're running some other version of sed, or there is something wrong with sed. cgf >>-----Original Message----- >>From: J S [mailto:vervoom AT hotmail DOT com] >>Sent: Wednesday, January 23, 2002 3:32 PM >>To: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com >>Subject: stop cygwin sed adding ^M >> >>Can anyone tell me how to stop the cygwin sed utility adding ^M ? >> >>Thanks, >> >>JS. >> >>_________________________________________________________________ >>Join the world's largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. >>http://www.hotmail.com >> >> >>-- >>Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple >>Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html >>Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html >>FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ >> > >-- >Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple >Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html >Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html >FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ -- Please do not send me personal email with cygwin questions.
