I am completely new to this area, then I have quite a lot of problems. Some of them I have solved using mailing list, but... Description: file tree: c:\cygwin gcctmp gccobj gcc-3.0.1 (OBJECT) (SOURCE) configure (while I am in /gccobj): "/gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/configure --enable-languages=gcc,c++,f77" After configure I change config.h as: >>Define HAVE_SYS_ERRLIST and HAVE_SYS_NERR in /libiberty/config.h >>and /i686-pc-cygwin/libiberty/config.h My /i686-pc-cygwin directory is empty, then I have to copy config.h. Some clue why? make (while I am in /gccobj): "make bootstrap" Report: ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ stage1/xgcc.exe -Bstage1/ -B/usr/local/i686-pc-cygwin/bin/ -c -DIN_GCC -g -O 2 -W -Wall -Wwrite-strings -Wstrict-prototypes -Wmissing-prototypes -Wtraditiona l -pedantic -Wno-long-long -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -DCYGWIN_CROSS_DIR=\"/usr/local/i6 86-pc-cygwin\" -I. -I. -I/gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc -I/gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc/. -I/gcct mp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc/config -I/gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc/../include /gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc /mbchar.c -o mbchar.o rm -rf libcpp.a ar rc libcpp.a cpplib.o cpplex.o cppmacro.o cppexp.o cppfiles.o cpphash.o cpperr or.o cppinit.o cppdefault.o mkdeps.o prefix.o version.o mbchar.o ar: version.o: No such file or directory make[2]: *** [libcpp.a] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/gccobj/gcc' make[1]: *** [stage2_build] Error 2 make[1]: Leaving directory `/gccobj/gcc' make: *** [bootstrap] Error 2 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------ I have tried to copy "version.o" from "/gcctmp/gcc-3.0.1/gcc" to "/gccobj/gcc" with same result. Why - I have checked "prefix.o" and "mbchar.o" and they are in "/gccobj/gcc". Even if it had worked, it would be very interesting to explain. Instalation of cygwin is: "2001/10/11 11:05:35 Starting cygwin install, version 2.78.2.9" Where could be a solution for a problem?
