I assume that this is o.k.: $ set | grep TERM TERM=cygwin tput won't initialise this terminal: $ tput init tput: unknown terminfo capability 'init' and the line drawing characters are wrong, e.g. with the demo programs in /bin/ncurses-test-dll. A '3' appears instead of a vertical line, etc. These problems are the same on two machines, one running NT, the other Windows 98. Changing TERM to ansi-nt gives the correct ascii approximation to the line drawing characters (but not what I want) and messes up the arrow keys, etc. Is this normal? Or can someone suggest what I am doing wrong.
