I had a look into your patch and besides some formatting issues I do
like it.

The problem:  It's not a `trivial' patch since it's already concerning
too much code.  Would you mind to fill out the copyright assignment
form given on http://cygwin.com/contrib.html and send it via snail mail?

It will take a week or two until we get the message that your assignment
form has arrived but that's not too hard, I hope.
