A casual inspection of the cygwin mailing list unearths one post from Mark with a question about *how* to use tapes, a few questions about how to do other things, and one admonishment to a user who was having problems accessing tape drives without first performing a mount. I'm not sure why anyone would be expecting him to speak authoritatively raw devices. I realize that I'm adding to the absurdity of the situation by even responding to this. I don't plan on responding to this issue any further. I would still appreciate feedback and analysis of the most recent snapshot. Chuck Wilson and Don Sharp have provided exactly what I was hoping for. At least somebody gets it... cgf On Fri, Oct 05, 2001 at 10:44:00AM -0400, Peter Buckley wrote: >Since I'm already in the twilight zone, I may as well say that it is >possible that someone is watching this thread to see if Mark is going >to be able to help, and if not, they will step in and help.
