My configuration : Win ME,Cygwin 1.3.3-2 and inetutils 1.3.2-14 when i do ftp localhost for the first time, it functions. I close the session and try to open it again. That's the message i get in my syslog output: ftpd : Win32 Process Id = 0xFFE59015 : Cygwin Process Id = 0x79083 : LOG_ERR : fcntl F_SETOWN: Invalid argument ftpd : Win32 Process Id = 0xFFE59015 : Cygwin Process Id = 0x79083 : LOG_INFO : connection from localhost ftpd : Win32 Process Id = 0xFFE59015 : Cygwin Process Id = 0x79083 : LOG_ERR : FTP LOGIN REFUSED FROM localhost, Syl (I entered a wrong password) ftpd : Win32 Process Id = 0xFFE5932D : Cygwin Process Id = 0x71ECB : LOG_ERR : getpeername (-d): The descriptor is a file, not a socket (Second try) ftpd : Win32 Process Id = 0xFFF98AA1 : Cygwin Process Id = 0x1A556B : LOG_ERR : getpeername (-d): The socket is not connected (Third try) Messages are the same when I use telnetd : The socket is not connected or The descriptor is a file, not a socket.
