On host-A, the disk was reformatted and a fresh copy of cygwin put on, all packages, including inetd, including CYGWIN env variable set to "binmode ntsec tty". Rsync runs just fine. On host-B, I removed the existing copy of cygwin using setup; then used explorer to remove the entire /cygwin directory hierarchy. Followed this with fresh cygwin install, same sources as for host-A, including inetd, including CYGWIN env variable set to "binmode ntsec tty". When I run rsync on host-B, I get the following error: 01-09-19 2:15:43 [515] host:b6g/scowles% rsync -av ~/work-src/ ~/work-trg Failed to dup/close : The descriptor is a file, not a socket read error: Connection reset by peer 01-09-19 2:15:48 [516] host:b6g/scowles% type rsync rsync is /usr/bin/rsync I've checked mailing list archives and have not been successful finding a lead about this. Does anyone have any ideas about what I've might have missed?
