Under the heading How can I get bash filename completion to be case insensitive? I think it would be helpful to replace "shopt -s nocaseglob" should do the trick. with "shopt -s nocaseglob" in your .bashrc file and "set completion-ignore-case on" in your .inputrc file should do the trick.
