Which ash version are you using? I have installed ash 20010827-1. I have configured no special mounts - I just installed Cygwin and include "C:\cygwin\bin" in my PATH settings. Here is the output of 'mount' - which indicates that binmode is obviously used by default: ------------------------------- bash-2.05$ mount C:\cygwin\bin on /usr/bin type system (binmode) C:\cygwin\lib on /usr/lib type system (binmode) C:\cygwin on / type system (binmode) c: on /cygdrive/c type user (binmode, noumount) ------------------------------- I also just tried the recently release bash-2.0.5-8 - and this behavior persists. > > Corinna > > -- > Corinna Vinschen Please, send mails > regarding Cygwin to > Cygwin Developer > mailto:cygwin AT cygwin DOT com > Red Hat, Inc. > > -- > Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple > Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html > Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html > FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ > -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
