The CYGWIN System Variable is set to "ntsec", and I have regenerated the passwd and group files using "mkpasswd" and "mkgroup" utilities. The "inetd" is running as a service, and I have only local users. The cygwin version is 1.1.2 on Windows NT 4.0. Below is a snapshot of the /etc/passwd. Based on the attached /etc/passwd, as user "melody" who is also Administrator, I tried to login as "eoss" user, the login prompts for password, and when I enter the password as defined for "eoss" NT user, it complains with "Login incorrect". Can anybody tell me, what could be wrong? >login eoss Password: Login incorrect login: thanks --melody eoss::1003:513:U-eoss,S-1-5-21-1555652865-1258102109-856842631-1003:/cygdriv e/e/eoss:/bin/sh melody::1000:513:Melody Khair,U-melody,S-1-5-21-1555652865-1258102109-856842631-1000:/cygdrive/d/mel ody:/bin/sh -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
