I followed the instructions given by:
http://www.cygwin.com/ml/cygwin/2000-11/msg01229.html
 
After that, ftp works pretty fine, which means the inetd works well.
 
Following the CVS documentation I added the following line to
/etc/inetd.conf:
cvspserver        stream  tcp                    nowait   root
/bin/cvs cvs --allow-root=/cygdrive/d/Sources/root pserver
 
and to /etc/services:
cvspserver                    2401/tcp
 
Trying to connect on the localhost I get a connection does not work. The
socket can not be created, the connection is refused.
 
(by the way I'm on W2KPro and starting or stopping the inetd service
works fine!)
 
What do I miss here - does anybody know?
