I thought it might be Cygwin related since I was unable to find it mentioned on the mutt mailing list and because textfiles are involved. After I delete a message, the mailbox file ends up re-written with partial 'From' lines at the start of many, but not all, of the messages. I think this alters mutt's recalculation of 'Content-Length:' on that message by including the partial 'From' line. The error cascades on the rest of the messages in the mailbox. Same problem occurs regardless of Unix or DOS formatted mailboxes. My mounts are binmode. Here's my uname -a output: CYGWIN_NT-5.0 THEBOX 1.3.2(0.39/3/2) 2001-05-20 23:28 i686 unknown Sample mailbox: ...snip Fro From bheckel AT foob From bheckel AT foobar DOT com Sat Jul 21 22:04:18 2001 Date: Sat, 21 Jul 2001 22:04:18 -0400 From: Bob Heckel To: foo AT foo DOT org ...snip Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
