For the 'cp -f' problem I could not find an explanation. May be the discussion on "Autoconf" was to much in detail for an cygwin beginner like me. As I understood it, there was/is a problem with utime in relation with file access rights. I don't see how this is related to the simple cp statement with no access conflicts. It might even be in the documentation or FAQ- Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/ -Peter -----Original Message----- From: Thomas Jäckel [mailto:jaeckel AT netcologne DOT de] Sent: Wednesday, August 15, 2001 12:51 PM To: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com Subject: Re: 1.3.2: Bug fileutil cp -p It is me, again - I am missing a bit of concentration. But now the problems with the exe extensions moves on to the next command "strip", which complains about not finding the appropriate files. At moment I will change the makefile and hope someone has the knowledge and time to work on the extension thing. Good luck.
