Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hi everyone, I've been starting inetd by hand as "inetd -d" to get ftp/telnet/rlogin/rsh to work. When I try to rlogin/telnet/ftp in from another machine, I get to the "password:" prompt, but then it never accepts my password. I searched the old cygwin mail list archives, and it looks like perhaps my problem is that inetd needs to be running as UID 18 (the SYSTEM account). But, I don't know how to make that happen. Could somebody give me a clue? In case it's important, I'm running Windows NT on a P-III, and the system control panel says "Microsoft Windows NT 4.00.1381, IE 5 5.50.4522.1800". Thank you very much. -Russ -- Russell B.
