Now that I am using outlook, I don't get any requests for a return receipt. Not that I recommend using outlook.... but IIRC there are options to some mailers that let you specify the default behaviour for return receipts and popups, and maybe even use rules like "if sender is xxx, do not popup or send return receipt." I haven't got any requests for return receipts in the past couple weeks, and I have looked at every message on the list- and I know that outlook's "popup an irritating window when the sender requests a return reciept" function is ON, because my boss sometimes requests them.
