Is it available with cygwin? How will it behave with the regular NT problem of logfiles being open by other prcesses? Eg. doing in a DOS shell echo >afile.log The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. Simple tests I have carried out in the bash like >afile.log The bash seems not to have the same problem as the DOS shell. The logfile is emptied OK. Why is this behaviour different?
