It appears to be running, but the cron tasks are never executed. crontab appears to be working; I am able to install, edit and uninstall crontabs without a problem. I also tried executing cron directly from the Cygwin prompt, but it generates an error: seteuid not owner I followed some email about this problem, and have tried installing version 3.0.1-2 as well, with the same results. The log files in /var/log/cron.log do not indicate only that the cron service started. Do you have any other ideas how I might make cron work? Thank you very much, Kent PS Cygwin is a fantastic tool! I hope for its continued support. _____________________________ Software Engineer Research & Development Division MBARI 7700 Sandholdt Road Moss Landing, CA 95039-0628 Tel: 831.775.1822 Fax: 831.775.1645 e-mail: headley AT mbari DOT org website: http://www.mbari.org "If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it." - Albert Einstein -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
