Hello,

I have installed cron 3.0.1-4 as a (WinNT 4.0) service using 

cygrunsrv -I cron -p /usr/sbin/cron -a -D

per the instructions in the README files. It appears to be running, but the cron tasks are never executed. crontab appears to be working; I am able to install, edit and uninstall crontabs without a problem. I also tried executing cron directly from the  Cygwin prompt, but it generates an error:

seteuid not owner

I followed some email about this problem, and have tried installing version 3.0.1-2 as well, with the same results. The log files in /var/log/cron.log do not indicate only that the cron service started.

Do you have any other ideas how I might make cron work?
