Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 15:32:51 +0000 Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed Message-ID: X-OriginalArrivalTime: 23 Jul 2001 15:32:51.0632 (UTC) FILETIME=[BC2A4300:01C1138C] Hello, I am kind of a rookie in Linux at all (and in cygwin particullary). I installed Cygwin under NT 4.0 and it seems to be successful. I want to install and run mipsel tools (got them from SGI ftp) under cygwin. When I trying to install them (as I did in RH 6.2) using rpm, I getting the next error: ld-linux.so.2 is needed by binutils-mipsel-linux-2.8.1-1 libc.so.6 is needed by binutils-mipsel-linux-2.8.1-1 I downloaded libc rpms for RH 6.2 (and 7.0 and 5.x, also) but it doesn't want to install them It is seems that these libraries require only the Red Hat environment and not cygwin. Questions: 1. Is there any how-to guide for mipsel on cygwin installation? 2. How could I install mipsel tools on cygwin? 3. Where could I find cygwin-related forum for novices like me? Many thanks Vladi _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp -- Unsubscribe info: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple Bug reporting: http://cygwin.com/bugs.html Documentation: http://cygwin.com/docs.html FAQ: http://cygwin.com/faq/
