Go to: http://www.gnu.org/manual/ You'll see a listing of some of the same packages you can install with cygwin installer. If you follow the link for a package you can then see what executables are included with that package. e.g. fileutils includes stuff like cp, mv, rm, and touch. I think it would be helpful for this kind of info to be mentioned on the cygwin page or in the cygwin installer. Maybe even just a link over to the GNU site. Before I knew to look at that site, I often wondered what utilities are included with each package. e.g. where is tail.exe found, where is cat.exe found, etc. Eric -----Original Message----- From: K DOT Weinert AT gmx DOT net [mailto:K DOT Weinert AT gmx DOT net] Sent: Thursday, July 19, 2001 10:30 AM To: cygwin AT cygwin DOT com Subject: Where can I find the CAT utility? Hello, I would like to use the cat utility. I downloaded the following packages: ash autoconf automake bash binutils cygwin fileutils findutils gawk grep inetutils sh-utils w32-api which but cat seems not to be included there. Where can I find it?
