So, I suspect his workaround exists within his own program's code, and he chose to workaround the bug within the context of using cygipc shared memory, rather than in a "pure" cygwin1.dll context. Big deal -- it's still a workaround. The Right Thing(tm) is to fix the bug in cygwin (then I'll gladly copy the fix into cygipc...) However, I don't understand the bug, so I certainly can't provide The Right Thing.
