By "native windows application", I mean an application which uses MSVCRT* instead of Cygwin. Also, in this case, the application is built using VC++. To rephrase what I'm trying to do: I would like to call some of the cygwin_XXX API functions in cygwin1.dll, from an application created with VC++. After reading the sources, it seems clear to me that this should indeed be possible.
