You can even change your /cygdrive prefix: mount --change-cygdrive-prefix /foo mkdir -p /foo/d/lala/lolo or mount --change-cygdrive-prefix / mkdir -p /d/lala/lolo or add a specific mount point mount D: /bar mkdir /bar/lala/lolo Just dont use //d/lala/lolo except `d' is the name of a SMB server.
