Now, I'm trying to build (just for fun...) under Win Xp (evaluation versioin of course) the error i got now is when making : ... gcc -DCROSS_COMPILE -DIN_GCC -g -O2 -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -o cccp.exe cccp.o cexp.o intl.o prefix.o version.o mbchar.o obstack.o -ladvapi32 ../libiberty/libiberty.a rm -f cpp0.exe ln cccp.exe cpp0.exe echo "int xxy_us_dummy;" >tmp-dum.c /tmp/build/gcc/gcc/xgcc -B/tmp/build/gcc/gcc/ -B/tools/H-i686-pc-cygwin/arm-elf/bin/ -I/tools/H-i686-pc-cygwin/arm-elf/include -S tmp-dum.c d:\cygwin\tmp\build\gcc\gcc\cc1.exe: *** Couldn't reserve space for cygwin's heap (0x27A0000) in child, cygheap, Win32 error 487 make[1]: *** [s-under] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/build/gcc/gcc' make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2 (i still have more than 1Gb free, so...) What does it mean ? Using the same command lines as on 98, 2000, it gives me this error i never had before... Would it be specific to xp?? Another thing : After this error occurs, when i look in the explorer, i can not see any under /tmp (where i built), nothing appears... while cygwin sees the build directory and what is in... I think all this is due to xp... Am i wrong?
