I'm seeing this exact same symptom (ignoring scripts of the same name earlier in the PATH). I was working fine with 1.1.8, until today when I tried to install 1.3.1, where this symptom suddenly appeared. (The current Net release doesn't. I don't recall when it was fixed.)
