However, as a first step I thought that I'd attempt to login, because if that didn't work ssh has _no chance!_. I've added my domain to the passwd file and group... /bin/mkpasswd -ld micromarketing > /etc/passwd /bin/mkgroup -ld micromarketing > /etc/group and then... login Now, my user name is morrijr so $ grep morrijr /etc/passwd morrijr::1324:1141:John Morrison,S-1-5-21-1491927668-2094530616-1660491571-1324:/home/morrijr:/bin/s h $ login login: morrijr Password: Login incorrect login: Micromarketing/morrijr Password: Login incorrect login: micromarketing/morrijr Password: Login incorrect login: John Morrison Password: Login incorrect login: micromarketing/John Morrison Password: Login incorrect Question: What am I doing wrong? I've read something about adding the domain to the passwd file (U- I think), is there a reason that this isn't done automatically? Help? Thanks, John. ======================================================================= Information in this email and any attachments are confidential, and may not be copied or used by anyone other than the addressee, nor disclosed to any third party without our permission.
