Therefore, I call on you guys to tell us what it is that is unique about your software configurations that causes this problem. I would be willing to bet that if any of you grabbed a spare hard drive and installed Windows, Cygwin, and Cygwin/XFree86 from scratch, without installing any other programs, your X clients would be able to connect to the X server. Prove me wrong. Tell us why Cygwin/XFree86 does not work on your machine. I think I speak for most of the list when I humbly say that I have no idea what is causing your problems.
