Of course it's also possible that it's an emacs > problem. I remember that i moved up from 20.3 to 20.7.1 This problem has nothing to do with make. Type M-x compile When prompted with "Compile command: make -k " , enter any command "gcc -v", "ls", "DIR", whatever. All return the same error message, despite appearing to run successfully.
