It looks like you don't have enough swap space or main memory available for Cygwin's heap. The most recent discussion of this in the mailing list is here: http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin/2001-02/msg00083.html In your case you want to set the size *down*, though, instead of up. You can start with 128 and work your way down to something that either works or gives you a different message. If setting this doesn't work then the only alternative is to get more memory or increase the size of your swap area on your hard disk.
