Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"; format=flowed Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit X-MIME-Autoconverted: from quoted-printable to 8bit by delorie.com id PAA17008 Setup 2.29 always proposes to load gcc 2.95.2-6, even if you have gcc 2.95.2-7 installed. This bug is independent of the mirror used (I tried 6 or 7 different mirrors). Also, when you download from Internet, setup often "thinks" you have version 0 installed of the following packages: bison, dejagnu, expect, flex, grep, less and textinfo, even if you have a later version installed. You have to go in the corresponding directory and delete old archives that do not have name of the form package-L.M.N-v.tar.gz, e.g., delete bison/bison.tar.gz for that behavior to stop. One last thing, setup doesn't recognize that inetutils-1.3.2-10 is already loaded and always proposes to do it again if you had inetutils-1.3.2-8 installed at some point. I know I should debug this and send a patch, but for now I just wanted to confirm that users having troubles with setup overwriting their latest download are not hallucinating.
