What we found is that by adding the group 'Everyone' to the read and execute permission on the remote server the files now appear r-xr-xr-x. eg: -r-xr-xr-x 1 ds83392 Domain U 5 Jan 19 10:28 hat3 Now when I 'touch' a new file it get r-xr-xr-x permission. However, I can neither change the permission or delete it! I can edit it in vim and use w! modify its contents. The directory in which I'm creating these files looks like: drwxrwxrwt 1 administ Domain U 16384 Jan 19 10:28 . so I'm thinking that there is some flaw in the way we've set up the groups...? Dan. ---------- What's your server? Is it using SAMBA or something else?
