Since Cygwin has a large chunk of the GNU stuff ported, I was just wondering if sharutils and a version of dos2unix/unix2dos that is Solaris compatible were going to become available in the future. Cygwin makes an excellent platform for doing development work that is being mirrored on a UNIX box. Our particular build system makes use of uudecode/uuencode. I just pulled down the GNU versions and compiled with Cygwin using the directions from Dr. David Coe. The dos2unix/unix2dos I used were from John Birchfield. I just figured that more tools would enhance the usefulness of Cygwin. Perhaps I'm just a little naive.
