I try to run cygwin.bat, but it just kind of hangs. The command window opens, but I don't get the prompt. If I wait long enough, I get bash: Invalid argument: /usr/bin/id, or something similar. There is no /usr/bin/id, just /bin/id. I tried copying id.exe to /usr/bin, but that did not help. I installed a relatively new version of cygwin, not 1.1.7, on a 98 computer and it works great. Thanks for any help. -- Jiann-Ming Su, js1 AT microwave DOT ph DOT msstate DOT edu -- Want to unsubscribe from this list? Check out: http://cygwin.com/ml/#unsubscribe-simple
