If that's the case, I'd vote for off by default, with the only goal being to keep list traffic to a minimum on this subject. Of course, we won't know if that goal is actually met until after the change is made and a default selected!;-) Here's another question. Should the outcome of this option be decided by a popular vote or an electoral?
