Do we have to blame the >ssh version on your Linux or FreeBSD box, perhaps? I don't think so. However, tried again with an ssh -v. Noticed over a couple of runs that every time when I got that error, the list of authentication agent connections whould list an FD of 64 or higher. Right now, I'm on a different windows 2000 machine which is of a different version. This one has uname -a CYGWIN_NT-5.0 TERJENM 1.1.4(0.26/3/2) 2000-08-03 20:53 i686 unknown ssh -v SSH Version OpenSSH_2.2.0p1, protocol versions 1.5/2.0.
