[1] Under the Bash shell: grep '\(' fails with a "grep: Unmatched ( or \(" In a script: grep '\(' does not fail [2] In cygwin-B20 and in the current version, 'pushd', 'popd' work in a Bash shell but not in a script. [3] (If I remember) cygwin-B20 was case sensitive (ABC /= abc). In the latest version cygwin is case insensitive (ABC == abc).
