Actually, I suppose that setup should set the cygexec bit for /bin and /usr/bin. It's been valid for a number of releases of cygwin. The only problem is that mingw programs like strace.exe won't work correctly, so they have to be "mounted" separately. mount -f -b -x c:\cygwin\bin\strace.exe /bin/strace.exe mount -f -b -x c:\cygwin\bin\strace.exe /usr/bin/strace.exe Not too pretty... Maybe we need another bin directory that holds non-cygwin executables. cygcheck.exe really shouldn't be a cygwin binary so it should go there, too. cgf -- Want to unsubscribe from this list?
