I haven't tested it thoroughly, but I don't get those old errors of the form: cvs commit: Rebuilding administrative file database cvs [commit aborted]: cannot open dbm file .#1013 for creation: Permission denied thanks for getting it to use gdbm (if that was the problem, I was never 100% sure) > ------------------------ > cvs can't do a checkout when pwd = '/'.
